Sometimes a painting just refuses to be finished. This was one of those pieces! Every time I thought it needed just a little something more, I added another element, tried another technique, and made another adjustment. And then… well, you can probably guess what happened next!
What started as a pour that didn't quite feel complete evolved through a series of unexpected twists and turns into this richly layered mix of fiery oranges, deep greens, and flowing ribbons of blue and turquoise. Each and then brought something new to the composition, creating movement, depth, and details that might never have appeared if I'd stopped sooner.
A little persistence, a lot of experimenting, and plenty of and thens later, this piece finally found its way.
